The overall approach for this project included multiple mandates: developing a plan to reduce GHG emissions for the entire college building stock and deploying an energy management system, while optimizing maintenance for real estate assets and reducing the asset maintenance deficit. The energy management system will allow the college to monitor the effects of changes that were made and will improve the reporting process with the Ministry. It is worth mentioning that the energy management system is a part of the college’s efforts to achieve ISO 50001 certification.
